OVERLAND PARK, Kan., Feb. 26, 2025 – The Heartland Soccer spring tournament season kicks off this weekend, Feb. 28-March 2, with the long-standing Border Battle Tournament sponsored by Capelli Sport, taking place at Scheels Overland Park Soccer Complex and Garmin Olathe Soccer Complex.

Recognized as one of the premier spring tournaments in the Midwest, the 2025 Border Battle Tournament will welcome 170 teams from seven states, including ECNL, NPL, and State and Regional Champion teams.

“This tournament is an outstanding way to launch the spring season, and we’re excited to welcome teams from across the Midwest to compete at our world-class, all-turf facilities,” said Shane Hackett, executive director of Heartland Soccer Association. “The continued growth of our events highlights the strength of Midwest soccer. We’re thrilled to host thousands of soccer families this weekend and create an unforgettable experience for all.”
